Each year, many volunteers in Jersey help us through a variety of ways to raise money for Cancer Research. We greatly appreciate the valuable contribution that they make in giving their time freely and willingly to support us. Below are some of the ways in which you might be able help us to raise money and if you would like to help us to fundraise in any of these ways, please complete the information on this form and send it to us by e-mail to jersey@cancer.org.uk.
Get involved in an Event | Participate in a major fundraising event: many people in the Island help us to raise money by participating in one of the many major fundraising events that we organise or that are organised by others. Information about forthcoming events being organised by the Committee can be found in the Forthcoming Events section. Other examples of such events include the London Marathon – and other marathons – in which a number of Jersey entrants have run and raised sponsorship for Cancer Research; and some of the other challenge events found in the Cancer Research website. Organise an Event | Each year, many people in Jersey give us their time and help us by organising a fundraising event. Examples include organising a coffee morning; or one of our Big Breakfasts; or a quiz night; or undertaking a sponsored head shave! or other similar sponsored event. |  |
Buy Christmas Cards and other goods from us, on-line You can buy your Christmas Cards and a range of other goods directly from Cancer Research UK, online, by clicking on this link. By purchasing your cards and gifts in this way, you will directly benefit Cancer Research UK: there won't be any profits going to a retailer.
Help at our charity shop For many years our charity shop has been operated by a team of dedicated and hard working volunteers who keep the shop open six days a week. If you have a couple of hours to spare, why not turn your spare time into helping those who are affected by cancer. We are looking for shop volunteers who are happy to donate one or two hours of their time every week at our local shop in St Helier. In return you will gain a working knowledge of how a charity shop works, will meet new people and will be helping to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research UK Jersey.
